Criterion 1Presence of at least 5 SPs proximal to the sigmoid colon, all 5 mm in size with at least 2 being > 10 mm in size
Criterion 2Presence of more than 20 SPs of any size distributed throughout the colon with > 5 being proximal to the rectum
  • SP = serrated polyp.

  • * Final polyp count includes any SPs (hyperplastic polyp, sessile serrated lesion with or without dysplasia, traditional serrated adenoma, and unclassified serrated adenoma) and cumulative over multiple colonoscopies.
