Caribbean core A 172-6 of the Lamont Geological Observatory series has been subjected to a nonparametric test for trend in order to examine the distribution of selected elements and of published paleotemperature data throughout a core length of 9.35 meters. First appearance of trend below top of core has been calculated, and the results of these tests are discussed.
