CJS has been made aware of a clarification required for the article by Chaikof and colleagues published on July 4, 2023.1 A letter to the editor in response to the article commented that there are no fee-for-service specialists in obstetrics and gynecology or urology practising in the Yukon2; however, Chaikof and colleagues have clarified that despite specialists in the Yukon being paid through an alternative payment plan, there were published fee code data for the Yukon available for inclusion in their analysis.3 Nevertheless, the authors do not wish to inflate their results with data from the Yukon that do not directly reflect actual payments and have clarified that, after removing the Yukon data from their analysis of paired procedures by jurisdiction, the overall difference for all of Canada decreased from 28.1% to 26.7%.
